Since its founding in 1999, KWAT has greatly expanded its staff, programs and mission. Initially, we intended to help the Kachin community living in Thailand but today KWAT has the necessary resources and members to provide programs to people living inside Kachin State as well. KWAT has built an empowered and well educated staff, and we have developed strong networks with other organizations.
